Atlanta Comedy Festival Director: Caroline King
"Hi, I'm Caroline King, Director of the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival. I work closely with Mikel Fair, Director of the Portland Comedy Film Festival, to screen fun Film Festival Events here in Atlanta, Georgia. I was born and raised in the south, graduating from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts majoring in Musical Theatre in 2006. Shortly after I moved to Chicago, IL where I learned and performed improv and sketch comedy at iO, Second City, Comedy Sports and Annoyance comedy theaters. I have been been based in Atlanta, since 2015 where I discovered a love for writing, acting, podcasting and film making. You may recognize me as a host and creator of the Bitch Beer Podcast. We interview people in the beer industry and spreads the word of craft beer to beer lovers at all levels of knowledge. As a filmmaker, I am also the creator of "Church Wives" an award winning mockumentary about women in Southern church society. Touring the film festival circuit with my own film made me realize how much I loved the experience that film festivals have to offer. I decided to join the team and help spread the love that I've felt at every festival where I've screened my own film. My goal is to make Atlanta a prime location for filmmakers and screenwriters around the world to showcase their creative work in the heart of Georgia. We have such a wonderful and constantly growing community of filmmakers and we are growing stronger every year. I am also the director of the Georgia Shorts Film Festival, the Georgia Documentary Film Festival and Horror Films In Hotlanta."
