The award nominations and winners for Oregon Scream Week 2018 have been announced by the judges. There were 156 different people that attended 3 different two-hour sessions of short horror films and the Filmmaker Awards Mixer on February 16-17, 2018. Filmmakers and screenwriters made the trip from Tokyo, Japan, South Korea, Los Angeles, New York, Colorado, Arizona, Canada and much more. In the conversations that I had, the most talked about films were Lunch Ladies, Phobia and The Dollmaker. Several attendees that were not connected to the films, raved about how exciting the line-up of films were and asked about when the next event would be announced. Many of the attendees were surprised by the diversity of the films screened, some of which were subtitled in English that were in Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese and Portuguese.
